Frequently Asked Questions

Originally released in 1995 as EnCompass, the EC line of software is a new generation of person-centered planning software that does more than merely coordinate services; it’s also a tool to create plans, develop strategies, track progress, synthesize information, and make your work more meaningful. EC allows you to organize important information about people receiving your services, to develop plans and assess follow-through. This helps you spend more time meeting consumer needs.

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about EC.

EC gives you all the tools to organize consumer information, coordinate services, create plans, develop strategies, track progress, and synthesize information. You become more efficient, more productive and have more time and energy to devote to meeting consumer needs.
Who typically uses EC?

How will EC help the consumer?

Will I need training?
From its inception, EC software was designed to require no special training. It looks just like other commercially available programs you already have installed on your computer. EC includes both a comprehensive guidebook and extensive on-line help. A practice database has also been included, so you can get hands on experience right away. As new staff members join the organization, they’ll learn how to produce best-practice results on the very first try. Monaco & Associates does offer on-site training by expert program development staff who are experienced problem-solvers. Please call for more information.
Do I need to change everything at once?
Use only the features of EC you need, then expand at your own pace. EC can be set up for use on a single PC or on a multi-user network.
What about security and confidentiality?
EC is password-protected and users are only allowed access to records of consumers for whom they provide services.
